GodWhispers - Blessings, Inspiration, Love

Dear Kristina,
When I saw you, it was love at first sight. Or should I say love at first thought. Because you were a mere thought when I loved you already.

Deeply,
God

P.S. Kristina, no matter what you do, you can never make me not love you.
Don't even try. It'll be a waste of time.

My GodWhispers for Today

June 11, 2010

Dear Kristina,

Work will always be with you. Your loved ones won’t. When you’re torn between working and spending time with your family, imagine yourself as an older person looking back at your life. What will this elderly person advice you?

Love,
God

P.S. The secret is to put people before things, Kristina.

Thank you Jesus!

I am grateful...

For the chance to be with you, to worship and to serve you during the Holy Mass today.

For being able to join the Novena for your most Sacred Heart, thank you Jesus.

For being a part of the Novena for the Blessed Virgin, our Mother of Perpetual Help.

For the Holy Gospel that still remains in my brain until now and the Homily that really struck a chord in my heart. For once in a long time, I was not defensive while listening to the Homily. I got the message and it really got me thinking, and wanting, no longing to thank you Lord Jesus.

For prayers answered and unanswered; uttered and unsaid, thank you Lord God.

For blessings that continue to pour down, a million thanks Lord Jesus. I may have overlooked them before but now I realize that you are slowly untangling my shackles. Freeing me from my chains, even those of my own making. The material things that keep me tied to my computer chair all day. For all that, thank you Jesus.

For time spent with my family, especially my Lola, during meals, during Love Heals, during in between moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I sound corny right now but still I thank you Lord Jesus.

For the oops moments that you were quick to help me with, through your instruments, I thank you Lord Jesus. I also beg for forgiveness, for putting spending and nonsensical stuff over what matters most. I'm sorry Lord Jesus and I thank you for all your help, for pulling me from the brink.

For new open doors, opportunities to develop my skills and build character, thank you Lord Jesus! So unexpected and such a blessing. Thank you for the confidence boost Lord Jesus!

For the chance to finish reading an inspiring book and write about it. At least my blah blahs today had more sense than usual. And I love the ebook so much. Still do. Oh if I could write just a page like the author, I would be forever in bliss. I am grateful for the gifts you gave me Lord Jesus so I won't give envy the chance to ruin things. Not anymore. Thank you Jesus!

For the chance to lie in bed upon waking, then sit quietly and relax, reflect on the previous day and learn from yesterday's lessons, thank you Jesus! I will praise you all my days Lord Jesus! Thank you for all that and more Lord Jesus! I love waking up each day, knowing that I can do nothing but thank you and my day would still be productive. Thank you Lord! In Jesus' name. Amen. :)

I am grateful. Thank you Jesus.

I am grateful for the gifts of Love, Life, Family and Friends.

I am grateful that I'll be working soon.

I am grateful for the chance to explore the world, the real world this time, not just the virtual one.

I am grateful for the chance to rest, and have fun, and learn new things.

I am grateful for God's Love, which never ceases to amaze me. I am grateful for prayers answered and for trials and crosses that I must bear. No more complaints this time, Lord. I'll give it my best shot.

Thank you Lord for easing my pain, my worries, my fears and my doubts. Thank you for accepting me as your daughter, as your servant, and as part of your wonderful family.

I will bless your name forever Lord Jesus. Thank you for everything. I will continue to thank you for the rest of my life. I praise you Lord and I will always love you. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

My GodWhispers for Today!

June 5, 2010

Dear Kristina,

You have to believe that your dreams are already done. Made. Completed.
Achieved. With victory parties and wild celebrations already scheduled to
congratulate you. And in due time, what you imagine will happen.

Haha,
God

P.S. I’m attending the party, Kristina.

Hurray! Thank you God. Amen.

How do I know that God is at work in my life?

Let me count the ways...

First, His Word flows like a river through my body and my soul every single day. Like a torrent of raging waters that never ceases, God's Word is a constant stream that comes in through various means -- the people I interact with, the Bible, the books I read, the internet, the music I listen to, every single time I worship Him when I go to church, when I confess my sins and the priest shares the Good news. I may not always be open during some of those moments but when God's Word sinks in, Heaven!

Second, His instruments are hard at work. I see them everywhere -- in my own family, my Grandma who I love dearly, my Aunt, who I also love, my Uncles, my Cousins, my Friends, my Neighbors, some of which have been so nice. I never realized that there were a lot of nice people all around me. Everything used to be all about work. I would just come in and go out of the house to work, go out with friends, go to church, without even talking with my neighbors. But now, when I meet some of them and dare to strike a conversation, it's like doors are being opened. And I'm not talking about opportunities to make money or advance my career. No, it's this great chance to bless and be blessed, to learn about their life, where they live, what they do, who they are. It's a refreshing experience and I'm glad I dare to talk with them now. They're strangers no more. I can't wait to meet more of them. Plus, I've met new sisters and brothers in Christ, when I joined a couple of prayer groups and Church congregations. I'd love to go back to my roots and serve through the Church choir too. I have no idea what's holding me back. Embarrassment perhaps? Or lack of confidence in my gift? My voice might be a bit rusty. Plus, I don't know the lyrics of some of the songs. No more excuses, right?

Third, God makes His presence felt in so many ways. Plus, he sends so many signs. And he truly is guiding my steps. I may get a bit stubborn sometimes but in the end I guess it's really up to me. God is always there, ahead of time, sometimes just in time, and sometimes He's just waiting for me to get the message and catch up. It's like He never leaves. And for that I am forever grateful. It's true. I am blessed, I am annointed, I am strong... because God made me that way. God has a great plan for me and He never stops reminding me of that. He never ceases to amaze me. He gives me space when I need it, but He also teaches me life's lessons, no matter how difficult they are to accept or cope with. Today I am filled with hope, and joy and a zeal for life that is surprising. I've never felt this great and for some reason, I know it's because Jesus has finally got His message across. Be patient, wait for Him, focus on what He wants me to do and everything else will fall into place. Very exciting!

And so, as I look back and ponder on how my life has turned out, I realize now that God is always there -- a strong and constant presence in my life. And I know that he always will be an integral part of my life, through good times and bad. For that, I am forever humbled and I am forever grateful. Thank you God! I will bless your name forever, Lord Jesus Christ! Forever I will be your humble servant Lord Jesus. Please mold me and use me for your purpose. May You reign in my heart and in the hearts of all peoples all over the world. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

The best gift (compliment) I've ever received

I wasn't expecting this but last night, as my Grandma and I were talking, she said these lovely words, out of the blue, it really touched my heart. She said, "you're beautiful" and that I should thank God for that. For someone who has never thought of herself as such, I was so moved. Thank you Lola, and thank you Jesus!

I love talking with my Lola, because she's got so much wisdom and experience. It was a welcome change of pace to just sit back and spend time with her without worrying about time. We just talked about everything under the sun. I just have to say, the women in my family are really strong, very independent and faithful, and I am blessed to belong with them. I'm so happy our family is finally at peace. Some members may be missing now, like my Grandpa, my Mama and my godmother, my second Mama, but we remain close. And for that I am grateful. I love my family! Thank you God! May your love reign in our hearts forever more Lord Jesus. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

The 5 things I am grateful for today

I am grateful for the gift of life and love. Thank you God for extending my life and for keeping all of us healthy. Thank you for your blessings, which continue to pour down upon us.

I am grateful for the time spent talking with my grandma about life, love and loss last night and the chance to bond with my auntie this morning. Thank you Holy Spirit for making our bonds stronger as each day passes. I am forever grateful for the broken relationships (and hearts) that are slowly being mended. Thank you Jesus!

I am grateful for the gift of salvation, which brings me so much joy now that I've confessed my sins and received absolution yesterday. Reconciliation is next. Please guide me Lord Jesus. Thank you Jesus for the gift of forgiveness, which you freely offer, with mercy and grace. I am humbled and I am blessed. Thank you God!

I am grateful for the chance to reconnect with friends. Thank you Jesus for being ever present in my life, sending so many instruments to guide me and help me grow as a Christian-Catholic and as a person.

I am grateful for the rain last night and for the bright sunshiny day that you have gifted us with today. May this day be a blessing for everyone and please use me Lord Jesus to bless the people I meet today. This I ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

For all these and so much more, thank you Jesus. Amen.
